Carve Some Time Out for Picking Pumpkins & Family Fun at MUMC!

• Time: Sun – Fri: 11:30 am – 5:30 pm | Sat: 9 am – 5:30 pm
• Location: Church Grounds

Our annual Pumpkin Patch will open on Wednesday, October 1, and continue to open daily until Halloween.
The Pumpkin Patch is MUMC’s major fundraiser for its many Ministries, including Missions & Outreach programs, and the opportunity for great outreach into the community – we are known as the church on the hill with the pumpkins. It provides an atmosphere of fun for families to visit the Patch, take advantage of a photo op, and pick out the perfect pumpkin.

In conjunction with the patch, we offer family-friendly events:

• Tag Sale – Saturday, October 11, 9 am – 1 pm, Fellowship Hall
• Blessing of Animals – Saturday, October 11, 11 am – 12 pm, Church Pavilion (Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 12, 1 pm)
• Kids Day at the Patch – Saturday, October 18, 11 am – 2 pm, Church grounds (Rain Date: Sun, Oct. 19, 12 – 2 pm)
• Indoor Trick or Treat – Sun, October 26, 4 – 5 pm, Church Rooms
• “Pumpkin Patch Thank You” Supper for Patch volunteers – Sunday, October 26, 5:30 pm, Fellowship Hall

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers fulfill the various areas of work needed to make the Patch a success. These include overseeing ordering and placement of pumpkins; setup and breakdown of site including pallets, tables and tents; organizing volunteer salespersons; tracking sales and recording daily income; soliciting and organizing pumpkin bread sales; publicizing and promoting to the community. Volunteering for shifts at the Patch provides the opportunity to get to visit with and get to know other church family.
