I welcome you all to The Memorial United Methodist Church in Avon, Connecticut!
This is God’s church, and you are God’s children. Therefore, this is your church. I would like you to feel at home even if it would be the first time for you to come to your church.
You may remember the children’s song: “I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we are the church together!”
Come and let us do ministry together as the church! We, followers of Jesus Christ, are to worship together, praising God and receiving God’s grace; to share God’s grace as sisters and brothers in Christ; and to go out and serve the world together, practicing Jesus’ teachings of love and inclusiveness.
