Daily Lenten Devotion sponsored by our Cooperative Parish Council
The early Christians observed with great devotion the days of our Lord’s passion and resurrection. It became the custom of the Church that before the Easter celebration there should be a forty-day season of spiritual preparation. We are reminded of mercy and forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We all can renew our faith by self-examination and repentance by prayer, fasting, and self-denial, and by reading and meditating on God’s Holy Word.
Please join us as leaders from the 5 churches of our Parish Council will lead devotions for each day of the 40 days of Lent on Zoom. Also can view it later in the day on the Facebook Page: Central CT Cooperative Parish, UMC
