Walk Through MUMC History

A historical visit to the 5 previous locations of our church.
Join us for a memorable walking tour, sponsored by MUMC Records & History Committee, as we journey through our church’s historical landmarks and captivating stories that have shaped us. The walk will leave you with a greater appreciation and understanding of our church.
We will meet in our church parking lot at 3 pm and carpool to two locations in Burlington Center to view and visit the first two places of worship by Methodists in this area in the early 1800s, then a drive to Unionville to view and visit the three locations as parishioners decided they wanted to worship in Unionville. We are hoping to arrange for a visit inside the stone church on School Street. Then we will return to Avon to learn about the building of our current church and the addition of our education wing. So much history to experience our early Methodist presence.
Stay for our Monthly Potluck Supper at 5:30 pm if you are able!
