Board of Trustees holds title to and manages the property belonging to the local church; keeps accurate records of its proceedings and reports to the Church Charge Conference to which it is amenable.

Chairperson facilitates the Board of Trustees’ work within the church; advises the Church Council concerning actions of the Board of Trustees; reviews annually, with the Chairperson of the SPRC, the church-owned parsonage.

Chairperson serves as a member of the Church Charge Conference and Church Council.

Bequests and Trusts: Receives and administers all bequests and trusts made to MUMC, and invests all trust funds of the church in conformity with the laws of the county and state in which the local church is located. Memorials & Special Gifts Committee is a sub-committee of Trustees, which keeps track of all gifts to the church and informs Trustees of how donors wish their gifts to be used.

Building Use: The trustees oversee the use of the church property, both for church members and for use by outside organizations. Room use forms are available on the landing and are to be filled out and given to the church office as soon as possible in advance of your event to reserve a spot on the church calendar and obtain Pastor’s signature and then forward to Trustees for approval at their monthly meeting.
