Confirmation is a sacred day of commitment and celebration in the life of an individual and the Church.
In celebration of this milestone in the lives of our youth, MUMC’s Education Committee will be hosting a Confirmation Breakfast for confirmands and mentors and their families on Sunday, September 15, at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
After the service (during Fellowship Hour), a reception with a cake cutting will be held in the Fellowship Hall to place your blessings upon our confirmands.
United Methodists use the term “confirmation” to mark the first time a baptized Christian publicly “confirms” their intention to live the vows of the baptismal and membership covenant and so becomes a professing member of the local congregation and The United Methodist Church.
