Our annual Pumpkin Patch will open on Sunday, September 29, 2024, and continue to open daily until Halloween.
The Pumpkin Patch is MUMC’s major fundraiser for its many Ministries, including Missions & Outreach programs, and the opportunity for great outreach into the community – we are known as the church on the hill with the pumpkins. It provides an atmosphere of fun for families to visit the Patch, take advantage of a photo op, and pick out the perfect pumpkin.
In conjunction with the patch, we offer family-friendly events:
Tag Sale & Bake Sale – Saturday, October 5th, 9 am – 1 pm
Blessing of Animals – Saturday, October 12, 11 am (Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 13, 1 pm)
Kids Day at Patch – Saturday, October 19, 11 am – 2 pm
Reverse Trick or Treat – Saturday, October 26, 9:30 am
Trick or Treat (Halloween Celebration) – Sunday, October 27, 4 – 5 pm
“Pumpkin Patch Thank You” Supper for Patch volunteers – Sunday, October 27, 5:30 pm
Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteers fulfill the various areas of work needed to make the Patch a success. These include overseeing ordering and placement of pumpkins; setup and breakdown of site including pallets, tables and tents; organizing volunteer salespersons; tracking sales and recording daily income; soliciting and organizing pumpkin bread sales; publicizing and promoting to the community. Volunteering for shifts at the Patch provides the opportunity to get to visit with and get to know other church family.
